Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (R.A.):
A man heard another man reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas,
"Say [O Mohammad (SAW)]:
He is Allah the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute, He begetteth not,
Nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.
[repeatly]
The next morning he came to Allah's messenger (S.A.W.) and informed him about it as if he thought that it was not enough to recite.
The next morning he came to Allah's messenger (S.A.W.) and informed him about it as if he thought that it was not enough to recite.
On that Allah's Messenger said,
"By Him in Whose Hand my life is, this Surah is equal to one-third of the Holy Qur'an"
[Sahih Al-Bukhari]
